How to Select and Develop Individuals for Successful Agile Teams

McKinsey & Company and Scrum Alliance just released a new joint research study – “How to Select and Develop Individuals for Successful Agile Teams: A Practical Guide”. While it may not be readily obvious, agile is less about following a prescribed framework or methodology and more of a mindset. Because it is more mindset driven, it stands to reason that there are certain types of people that are more likely to be successful making that shift and adopting/following the principles agile espouses. And conversely, there are some people (and by extension teams and organizations) that are less likely (I would even dare say unlikely) to make the shift. Read the study to identify some of the character traits that are necessary for high performing, self-organizing teams.
